Nantasket Beach - Emergency Stabilization of Seawall

Project Description: TFCI was the successful bidder for an emergency repair of the seawall that protects the DCR Bathhouse facility at Nantasket Beach, Hull. The DCR selected three firms to bid on the repairs and the successful Contractor was required to mobilize within 1 week. The work consisted of installing an armor stone revetment along a 160 ft. length of the seawall. The typical section required construction of a multi-layer stone revetment while working around the tidal cycles. Work was required to be completed in 30 days and prior to the July 4th Holiday when the venue was to be available for the annual celebrations. Approximately 8200 tons of stone up to 4 ton size was delivered and placed. The work was completed on time and with no change orders or safety issues.
